Writing the BBS Gateway program has given me so many multiple ideas that I had to start over from scratch and do a complete re-write. Here are screen shots of what I have so far. It is working as a gateway, but the SMTP, NNTP, & other functions still need to be programmed. It will eventually be released as "donation ware". Here is the SMTP Setup page. Another thing I need to put in here is a time interval for checking for email files.
The Port Setup page. Setting up the Com port, and the telnet port to listen on for calls to the BBS.
The Monitor Window. Here is where you can view the I/O from various functions of the Gateway Program.
BBS Commands page. This is where you can define commands from the BBS to the Gateway program. Hopefully this is pretty self-explanatory.
The other buttons you don't see displayed here (NNTP Setup & Messages) are not yet incorporated. I'm slowly working on this program when I get the time.
